With the portal now open, hundreds of players have already entered their names, including Wisconsin guard Camren Hunter. To fill the void left by a large group of seniors, the Badgers will need to be active in the transfer portal this offseason, and it looks like they've already been in contact with a player who couldn't miss against them in their matchup last November.

Badgers in talks with Pittsburgh transfer Amsal Delalic

Pittsburgh wing Amsal Delalic, who was a perfect 4-for-4 in just 16 minutes against the Badgers in the Greenbrier, has emerged as a potential target for Greg Gard and company. The 6-foot-8 freshman has already heard from Clemson, Penn State, Utah and others.

In his first season with the Panthers, Delalic averaged 3.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 13 minutes per game on 46% shooting, including 35% from three. Previously, he played professional basketball in a Bosnian league and averaged 13.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

Delalic definitely fits the mold of the new brand of Wisconsin basketball as a lengthy player who can also shoot from deep, similar to Xavier Amos or Nolan Winter. The Badgers will have a lot of scoring to replace with the departures of John Tonje, Max Klesmit, Steven Crowl and more, and the former Pitt Panther could be a nice addition off the bench if Wisconsin were to land him.

With the loss of six seniors and now Hunter as well, Wisconsin has a lot of production and three new starters to replace. While they may not hit the John Tonje jackpot again, look for the them to be highly active in the portal over the coming weeks.
