Wisconsin is surging for Montana's top recruit, Steele Harris, as he has now scheduled a second visit to Madison. It will be his first official visit, but momentum is building for Luke Fickell to nab Montana's best player and a top-50 athlete in the 2027 recruiting class. He's ranked a 3-star player by both On3.com and 24/7 Sports and could be a college player at multiple positions, but most likely will land as a receiver.
Fickell seems to be trying to collect top-rated players from various states. The Badgers have commitments from the top players in Wisconsin, including the state's best player, Kingston Allen. Wisconsin also now has commitments from the No. 2 player in Delaware, DJ Davis, and the No. 6 player in Indiana, Jack Sorgi.

On3.com has Wisconsin as the early favorite with a 52.7% prediction rating. The next closest is Michigan State at 35.2%. Harris also holds offers from Utah, California, Arizona State, and Iowa State. But he seems the highest on Wisconsin and Michigan State. Those are the only two schools he's currently set up with official visits.
Harris did take unofficial visits to Cal, Arizona State, and Wisconsin.
The 6'3, 190-pound athlete plays on both sides of the ball for his high school team in Great Falls, Montana. He's played wide receiver, quarterback, and defensive back. He is also an elite track and field athlete competing in the 100-meter, 200-meter, and long jump contests. His athletic ability is what stands out to college programs, knowing that a college weight-training program will get him in even more elite shape.
Wisconsin is the early lead horse in the race for Harris. Luke Fickell and Ari Confesor are hoping to close the deal in May and get him to commit to this already top-15 recruiting class for 2027.
