After a brutal loss against Michigan in the Big Ten Championship Game, the Wisconsin Badgers turned their attention to the NCAA Tournament Selection Show. Unfortunately though, the losses continued late into Sunday for the Badgers after receiving a disappointing seeding.

Badgers miss out on home court advantage during NCAA Tournament

The Badgers were hoping to land the No. 3 seed in the South Region, in order to play their opening games in Milwaukee. That honor however, went to Iowa State, as Wisconsin now will be without what would have been a hypothetical home court advantage. Instead, the Badgers will play as the No. 3 seed in the East Region, playing their first game against the No. 14 seeded Montana Grizzlies in Denver.

It's been a tough few hours for Badger fans, who watched the team fall in the Big Ten Tournament, and subsequently saw them lose the perfect tournament seeding. Wisconsin ran out of gas in the Big Ten Championship game after playing four games in four days, so they'll need to take the next few days to get ready and rest up for their matchup on Thursday against the Grizz.

Still though, the Badgers have exceeded all preseason expectations, and a No. 3 seed is incredibly respectable. Missing out on what would have been a nice home court advantage in Milwaukee stings, but Wisconsin is heading into the NCAA Tournament as one of the most dangerous teams in field.
