Wisconsin has landed their first cornerback of this transfer portal cycle in Jacksonville State's Geimere Latimer. He announced his commitment Christmas Eve.
After having their cornerback room decimated following the season, Latimer is a sight for sore eyes and will be a big part of rebuilding the room. The Badgers lost four cornerbacks to the portal already, including star freshman Xavier Lucas, and only have three scholarship corners still on the roster pending Ricardo Hallman's NFL decision.
Latimer had a breakout season in 2024 for the Gamecocks with 42 tackles and three interceptions. The 5-10, 187-pound corner will still have two years of eligibility remaining. His younger brother is also a top target in the Badgers' 2026 class and the duo have already expressed interest in playing with one another.
Latimer is the 17th addition of the cycle for the Badgers, which is now ranked as the sixth best class according to 247Sports.
