Greg Gard opened the game with the same starting five as the previous two games, but once again quickly subbed in Kamari McGee and Carter Gilmore after just a few minutes. Gard has said he would be open to different starting lineups after a slew of slow starts, but so far has yet to make a change. Still, the Badgers dominated most of the way on their way to a 87-56 victory.

For the third straight game, Wisconsin got off to a slow start offensively. Down 17-8, the Badgers went on a historic 24-0 run to regain control of the game. It's been a theme thus far for Wisconsin, and they've trailed early in every game in this young season. They've been a second half team, but that'll need to change quickly before a date with No. 10 Arizona.

Led by Max Klesmit's five steals, the Badgers forced 18 turnovers, with 13 of them coming in the first half. After an initial burst from App State, they were outscored by Wisconsin 79-39.

Transfer Camren Hunter made his first appearance as a Badger in the last two minutes of the game. Freshmen Daniel Freitag and Ricardo Greppi also checked when the game was out of hand. Freitag has been buried on the bench this year after a summer of a lot of hype, so hopefully he can continue to progress and earn minutes.

Wisconsin has gotten significant production from John Tonje, Max Klesmit and now Steven Crowl, showing their strong depth. The Badgers have had a different high scorer in every game so far. Tonje and Klesmit each had a 20-point performance over the first two games, and Crowl led the way with 17 against the Mountaineers.

The 3-0 Badgers will take on the 10th ranked Arizona Wildcats on Friday.
