Badger basketball saw a lot of change this offseason. With the departures of AJ Storr, Chucky Hepburn and Tyler Wahl, Greg Gard found himself needing three new starters. Wisconsin brought in some transfers and added a new class of freshman, but none found themselves inOn3's top 125 players of 2024-25 list.

The Badgers have never been known for having star-studded rosters filled with five-star prospects, but this year feels different. There isn't a lot of proven talent on this year's team, and while on one hand it's exciting to see new players come up, on the other it's terrifying. The Badgers were only one of three Big Ten teams to not have a player included on the list, along with Nebraska and Michigan State.

Wisconsin will feature at least three new starters this year. Early reports indicate they'll be Nolan Winter, John Tonje and John Blackwell to pair alongside returning starters Steven Crowl and Max Klesmit. It's no surprise these three didn't make the top 125 list, though. Winter and Blackwell were backups, and Tonje missed most of the season due to injury.

It is worth noting that former Badgers Hepburn and Storr both made the list at number 54 and 104 respectively. They announced their decisions to transfer early this spring which drew the ire of many fans. In this new landscape of college basketball, coaches and teams have had to adjust. So did Wisconsin do enough? Maybe Wisconsin has some diamonds in the rough, but all eyes will be on Greg Gard this year to compete with this new team.
