Caleb Love of the Arizona Wildcats delivered one of the most insane finishes of the season with a more than half-court buzzer-beater to send the game into overtime. He then took over the over-time period, bringing the Wildcats to a huge win over No. 3 Iowa State. It was a late-night game, but the basketball world was still buzzing through the night with the amazing shot. Good for Arizona but also good for Wisconsin.

Arizona's big win over Iowa State has boosted the Wisconsin Badger tournament resume

In the fifth game of the season, the Wisconsin Badgers took on a non-conference opponent, the Arizona Wildcats, and beat them 103-88. While Arizona struggled to begin the season, that game has recently been aging like fine wine as Arizona is now ranked 11 in the NET. For the Badgers, it is currently their best win of the season.

There will come a time, and it's coming soon when the NCAA tournament committee will have to figure out where to put all the teams that make the tournament. They do it by stacking up and comparing resumes. Through various factors like quadrant wins from one to four and NET rankings. Arizona continued to thrive, and rising those rankings has boosted the Badger resume in exceptional ways.

The kicker is that it happened in a non-conference game. Those are the games you can control; the rest are in the hands of the conference. It ended up being a great decision to have the Wildcats come to Madison to play that game. It will be a boost on the resume for the Badgers who are currently projected between a four seed and a six seed in the NCAA tournament.

The Badgers are now 4-4 in quad-1 games and undefeated in quads 2-4. They have two more quad-1 games coming this week in Maryland and Northwestern, both on the road—time to continue to stack that resume together.
