CBS Analyst drops Big Ten win predictions — Wisconsin’s number feels like a gut punch

Wisconsin football fans need to brace themselves for another woeful year in the Big Ten under the leadership of Luke Fickell. It's one of the toughest schedules in the league for a team that hasn't proven it can handle a tough schedule. While Fickell has worked to improve the roster and coaching staff this offseason, the predictions for next season are underwhelming and hard to read.

CBS Analyst Tom Fornelli went through all the over/under odds for each Big Ten team and predicted whether they would be over that win total or under on the season. It's less of an actual prediction of how many games they win and more on whether you should take the over or under on the season win totals put out by oddsmakers.

Wisconsin's season win total is set at 5.5 games by FanDuel

FanDuel has the odds for Big Ten teams listed on its website, and the odds they've set for Wisconsin are 5.5. That's brutal to see, but it gets worse when you see that Tom Fornelli says you should take the under. This means that Fornelli thinks Wisconsin will win five or fewer games. Not good.

Maybe that's exactly what Wisconsin will be again, not good. If this scenario plays out, once again, the Badgers will be without a bowl game, and that will make it now a streak and not a fluke. This isn't what any Wisconsin fan wants and the hope is that somehow Fickell and company can prove the odds makers wrong and pull off a magical season. It doesn't have to be a CFP or even a major bowl game, simply an improvement on last season would be great. Oh and please don't lose to Minnesota again.

Right now, Wisconsin football is in spring practices. Their first game of next season is Thursday, August 28th, against Miami (Ohio).
