Former Wisconsin Badger guard AJ Storr has had a rocky road since his days in Madison. He went to Kansas last year but could not regain the glory that he had as a Badger. He's now in Ole Miss, and things are getting rocky for the Rebels as the season ramps up. Yesterday, head coach Chris Beard was frustrated with his team and wouldn't even let AJ Storr answer a question about player effort.

It gets worse as Storr is one of the ones that fans are questioning the effort. He doesn't seem all that motivated out there, and Ole Miss fans are tired of it. Beard may be joining them on that train as his answer revealed a lot.

Chris Beard says the answer to lack of player effort is 'playing different players'

A reporter asked Storr, "How do you fix a lack of effort?" And AJ started to answer with a, "Well, you can't really do too much..." Beard jumped in with, "Yes, we can, we can play different players. That's what we did in the second half, where we won the second half by seven points. We can play different players."

Storr didn't really flinch as he was starting to say "Motivate," but instead just said, "Yeah" in a way to agree with his coach. The problem for Storr is that Beard may also be talking about him. Storr is a starter, and since the games got tougher for the Rebels, he's played 31 minutes and 27 minutes. Last night, he only played 24 and was sitting on the bench for about a five-minute stretch in the second half.

He did come out and start the second half, but on Ole Miss's first possession, Storr turned it over. He ended the game with only six points on 2-9 shooting with two assists, two rebounds, two steals, and three turnovers.

Storr hasn't been great since Wisconsin. He struggled at Kansas, and things are already becoming rocky at Ole Miss. It will be interesting to see what Beard does in the next game with Storr and other teammates who are not giving it their best effort.
