Wisconsin's highest-rated recruit, 4-star wide receiver Jayden Petit, has been selected to the Navy All-American Bowl, which features the best recruits in the nation (formerly named the U.S. Army All-American Bowl). That's the news presser side but Chris Maragos a former Wisconsin star and a current coach for Petit, has sent out a message in congrats.

He wasn't the only person to give Petit a shout-out as Wisconsin coaches Luke Fickell, Jeff Grimes, and Jordan Reid sent messages to Petit. The news signals a considerable accomplishment for Petit and only boosts Wisconsin's recruiting profile.

Chris Maragos was a walk-on turned captain for the Wisconsin Badgers. He even went on to have a decent NFL journeyman career, mostly on special teams units. His work ethic and pursuit of being a better football player continued to propel him from a high school star to Western Michigan to a walk-on at Wisconsin to the NFL. He is now a coach at St. John Neumann in Naples, Florida.

Maragos says, "Badgers, you have a GREAT one coming your way!" Who knows what it takes to be a star at Madison, but also has had a front row seat to Petit's high school career.

Petit's future coaches, who gave him a video response, were proud and beaming with what it means for Petit to be selected to such a prestigious bowl. All of them had encouraging things to say and you can watch the video above in the social media post.
