The Wisconsin football program looks completely lost. There's too much talent on the team for them to perform this badly. It's embarrassing at this point, and everyone besides Chris McIntosh and Jennifer Mnookin knows Luke Fickell needs to go. Even the current players are giving quotes that paint a bleak picture for the Wisconsin head coach.

Linebacker Christian Alliegro, post-game, told reporters that the team has no identity. They can't find it, nor do they know what it is. That's on the head coach, and now in his third full season and his fourth total, it's getting worse, not better.

Luke Fickell has no answers and the season will only get worse

It was posted in an article yesterday that Fickell's comments in the post-game weren't much better. You could argue worse. He doesn't have answers either, in fact, that's basically what he said, "I don't know where else there is to go...I'm crushed, I'm disappointed in myself and in our team."

Between Alliegro's quote and Fickell's quote, that's about as damning a statement as you can make to the current state of the program and the inevitability of the firing of Luke Fickell. It no longer seems as if it's a matter of if he will be fired, but when.

Now the Badgers have to host Ohio State, the number one team in the nation. Then head to Eugene to take on another ranked team in the Oregon Ducks. Followed by a game against Washington, who also may find themselves ranked before that point as they sit at 5-1 and have only lost to the Buckeyes.

It's not going to get better for the Badgers; it's going to get worse, and at that point, Wisconsin regents and boosters may as well pull the trigger now and see if they can't spark the same magic that UCLA is pulling off.
