The Wisconsin Badgers take on another ranked team this weekend, the No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers. It will be the sixth time this season that the Badgers face a ranked team. Wisconsin is currently 1-5 in those matchups. However, that one win? Came last week, and Wisconsin is riding some nice momentum into Indiana. ESPN Analytics isn't buying it and gives them absolutely zero shot to beat the Hoosiers.
The current ESPN Analytics probability percentage for the Badgers to upset the Hoosiers is 3%. This is among the lowest probability odds that Wisconsin has had all season. Those low odds are staggering in the world of ESPN Analytics. That's the type of odds non-conference buy games get, which means that the algorithm basically can't see it happening.

This is coming off a big win, and Indiana is potentially thinking they can coast into the last two games before they sail off into the College Football Playoff. Win or lose to Wisconsin, they are all but a shoo-in. So is there a chance that the Badgers can catch the Hoosiers napping? Probably not, Hoosier head coach Curt Cignetti is amping them up, telling his team, "We will get everyone's best shot."
They also won't be trapped, as Purdue, arguably a worse team than the Badgers, is up next on their schedule. Thus, Cignetti won't mess around with the Badgers and will learn from Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies to put Wisconsin away.
Yet, this doesn't mean that Wisconsin won't try to play spoiler. Head coach Luke Fickell has said this team can play like they have nothing to lose, because they really don't at this point. The Badgers should be loose and free, looking to knock off the No. 2 team in the nation.
ESPN Analytics is right, it's a long shot, Indiana is clearly the better team, but there is a chance. It's just bleak.
