As many know by now, the Wisconsin Badgers open its 2026 campaign with a "neutral siteβ matchup against the fourth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The reason for the decision on the neutral site tag is the fact that the game is taking place still within the state of Wisconsin, as the Badgers head out east a couple hours to Green Bay, playing at the esteemed Lambeau Field.
The last time Wisconsin took the road trip to Lambeau was a matchup against the fifth-ranked LSU all the way back in 2016, which resulted in a 16-14 win for the Badgers. Fast forward to today, and an unranked Wisconsin team is once again looking to make a top-five upset on the same field.

Naturally, the hype around this game is immensely high, not only because of the reasons already laid out, but also because itβs a chance for Wisconsin to right the wrongs of the last couple years. For the first time since head coach Luke Fickell first stepped foot on campus, the program has real hype around it, and has now been given a perfect chance to capitalize on it.
Get Your Tickets
The result of this combination of factors is a hefty price tag to just get into the game, with ticket prices sitting at a starting price of $136 pre-tax. It is worth noting that just a couple of weeks ago, prices were closer to the $300 range, but naturally, it dropped as fans arenβt quite bought in enough to the program to match that tag.
Nonetheless, admission to the game is clearly one that fans on both sides of the token are coveting, as the closer we get to the game, the more and more tickets fly off the shelf. Hopefully, Wisconsin can maintain a bit of home-field advantage in this one, as after all, the proximity of Green Bay to Madison is much closer than that to Notre Dameβs home city in Indiana.
That said, the influx in the Badgersβ focus on out-of-state recruiting means that there is less of that inherent pride in playing at that venue, possibly sucking away a bit of the magic that the team had in 2016.
In House Rules
Once fans are in the stadium, there are a few sets of rules that arenβt exactly traditional to what Badger fans would see at Camp Randall. Students will not be able to access tickets through the Badger app, as all tickets will be distributed through the Green Bay Packers app. Once securing them there, you can download them to your mobile wallet, allowing for easy entry into the game.
It's almost that time.

As for the stipulations, rules are fairly standard in regard to what size and make of bag that you can bring into the game. The safest way for fans to bring a bag into the game would be a standard-sized clear bag, making the process much easier for themselves.
All in all, it should be a fun night for Wisconsin fans, with the potential for it to be a momentum changer in regards to the direction of the program. Gates open two hours before kickoff at 4:30, advising fans to show up early, pack the stadium, get loud, and hopefully fuel the team to one of the largest upsets in program history.
