The Wisconsin Badgers wrap up fall camp on Sunday August 23, and all the practices going forward will be closed to the media and the public. That means, this is the last chance to predict a depth chart before week one of the season. This depth chart is not including any injuries, as the reported ones seem like there's a chance to be back in time for the season.

Offensive depth chart after fall camp

Quarterback

QB1: Colton Joseph
QB2: Ryan Hopkins
QB3: Deuce Adams
QB4: Danny O'Neil
Depth: Carter Smith

The battle for QB2 was big but Hopkins pull away in the end and don't be surprised if the Badgers find some sets and plays to work him in at various points in the season.

Running back

RB 1: Abu Sama III
RB 2: Darrion Dupree
RB 3: Bryan Jackson II
Depth: Nate Palmer and JuJu Pope
Walk-on: Harrison Bortolotti and Mason Lane

This worked out exactly as many predicted, with Sama leading and DD and Bryan Jackson taking up reps behind those guys. The emergence of JuJu Pope is fascinating and could play a role down the stretch.

Full back

Starter: Tyler Jansey
Backup: McCoy Smith

Wide Receiver

Starters: Eugene Hilton Jr., Chris Brooks Jr., Jaylon Domingeaux
Slot: Tyrell Henry, Zion Kearney
Backups: Shamar Rigby, Malachi Coleman, Kash Brock
Depth: Eli Adams, Keeyshawn Tabuteau, Dorsett Stecker, Zion Legree, Jackson McGohan
Walk-on: Langdon Nordgaard, Mason Kelly

This room still has a bunch of moving pieces and may end up having some shuffling all year, based on packages. There's plenty of talent in this room, but if Wisconsin is in a three-receiver set, you can bet it's Hilton, Brooks, and Henry. Rigby will find his way onto the field, and the emergence of true freshman Kash Brock is exciting.

Tight End

Starters: Jacob Harris, Nizyi Davis
Backups: Grant Stec, Emmett Bork, Ryan Schwendeman
Depth: Jack Sievers, Treve Stoffel, Aydon Fickell

Davis and Bork both move up this list, they both really stood out in fall camp.

Offensive Line

LT
Starter: PJ Wilkins
Backup: Lucas Simmons

LG:
Starter: Colin Cubberly
Backup: Stylz Blackmon

C:
Starter: Austin Kawecki
Backup: Ryan Cory

RG:
Starter: Emerson Mandell
Backup: Black Cherry

RT:
Starter: Kevin Heywood
Backup: Barrett Nelson

Other depth for the OL: Evan Brown, Cam Clark, Nolan Davenport, Hardy Watts, Peyton Lange, Logan Powell, Michael Roeske, Brady Bekkenhuis, Aiden Dirksen

This room already has a couple of injuries to it, with Mandell and Heywood. Don't be overly surprised if they have at least one backup in for Week 1 against Notre Dame.

Defensive depth chart before fall camp

Defensive Line

DT:
Starter rotation: Hammond Russell IV, Junior Poyser, Charles Perkins
Backups: Dillan Johnson, Xavier Ukponu, Jacob Anderson, DeNigel Cooper
Depth: Nolan Vils, Djidjou Bah, Arthur Scott III

EDGE:
Starter rotation: Sebastian Cheeks, Nicolas Clayton, Justus Boone, Tyreese Fearbry
Backups: Jayden Loftin, Liam Danitz, Michael Garner, Sam Lateju, Jaylen Williams
Depth: Ashton Fickell, Yahya Gaad, Evan Van Dyn Hoven, Will McDonald

This room seemed to solidify itself with Cheeks and Clayton being the main two. The rotation behind those two are still being worked out and plenty of players showed flashes but Boone and Fearbry showed the most consistency.

Linebacker

Starters: Mason Posa, Cooper Catalano, Jon Jon Kamara
Backups: Taylor Schaefer, Thomas Heiberger, Aaron Witt
Depth: Ben Wenzel, Landon Gauthier, Drew Braam

Schaefer made a case to be the third linebacker, but it still feels like Kamara's to lose. Heiberger is clearly the primary backup to the starters.

Cornerback

Starters: Javan Robinson, Eric Fletcher Jr., Jaimier Scott
Nickel: Bryce West, Raphael Dunn
Backups: Cai Bates, Carsen Eloms, Donovan Dunmore

Safety

Starters: Marvin Burks Jr., Matthew Jung
Backups: Carson Van Dinter, Cairo Skanes, Matthew Traynor
Depth: Luke Emmerich, Grant Dean, Kah'ni Watts, Will Mikonowicz

Van Dinter made a ton of noise in camp but it would be surprising to see him fully pass Jung.

Kicker

Starter: Gavin Lahm
Backup: Brady Melum

Punter

Starter: Sean West
Backup: Ethan Tranel

Long Snapper

Starter: Andrew Goodman
Backup: James Roe
