There's certainly an argument that Wisconsin basketball deserves some recognition in the Top 25. The Badgers are still the only team that has beaten the Michigan Wolverines. Not even Tom Izzo's Spartans have done it. But Wisconsin's losses to USC and TCU are not helping the case. However, there is one voter who's still holding it down for Wisconsin in the AP Top 25 poll.
It may not even be the same voter, though it probably is. Last week, Wisconsin received one single vote after beating Penn State and then losing to USC. This week, after two wins against Minnesota and Ohio State, there was still one single vote for Wisconsin in the AP Top 25.
Wisconsin has a decent tournament resume with a lot of opportunity still to improve it

The resume for Wisconsin is climbing. The highest in NET they have been this season is 36, and currently the Badgers are at 40. Yet at one point this season, Wisconsin was NET 77. So the resume is on the up and up. This is good news, and most bracketologists recognize the Badgers as a safe tournament team. Greg Gard's group may find themselves in most brackets around a nine or ten seed, but still safely in the tournament.
The Badgers have an interesting resume with a 1-4 record in quad-1 games, 6-2 in quad-2 games, and 9-0 in the rest of the quads. That's only slightly better than a bubble team. The good news, or maybe it's bad news, depending on how you look at it, the schedule has a ton of quad-1 games left.
There are nine games left in the regular season, and Wisconsin has seven quad-1 games, with the next five all in this quad. It's a gauntlet to end the season, and it could either dramatically help them or dramatically hurt them. It's up to the Badgers how they finish the season, but their tournament destiny and seeding are firmly in their hands.
