Duke basketball may have suffered a terrible injury right before the NCAA Tournament when star Cooper Flagg went down holding his ankle after a play against Georgia Tech. He would eventually leave in a wheelchair but come back to the bench later in the game, however, ruled out. There's concern over what it all means and how bad the injury is going to be. Pessimistic fans know that an ankle sprain is rest for weeks. Optimistic fans are seeing him on the bench hoping he just rolled it and is out in a precautionary way.

Cooper Flagg left the Duke game with a clear ankle injury. Sam Dekker thinks it will be weeks before Flagg is back.

Cooper Flagg is considered the best player in college basketball this year and the potential No. 1 overall pick in the NBA. This injury is turning lots of heads, including former Wisconsin basketball star Sam Dekker, who thinks the injury will keep Flagg out for weeks.

Dekker says, "That's a grade 3 for sure. 4 weeks at minimum, probably 6-8." In reply to a post sent to Dekker about Flagg's injury, in which the college basketball fan was thinking that Flagg would be out for a couple of weeks.

Dekker has been involved in basketball for a long time, from his days as a high school star to college star, to playing in the NBA, and finally overseas. He's seen an injured ankle or two in his day, and he is worried after watching the video that it could keep Flagg out for the whole NCAA tournament.

The hard part is that while fans think it's good news that Flagg came back to the bench, if it's truly a grade 3 ankle sprain, there's not much they can do, and they may as well let him go to the bench. He needs rest and recovery. Later today, after Duke's head coach Jon Scheyer talks to the media, there will be more clarity.
