Frank Kaminsky had the best reaction possible to Wisconsin taking down Arizona
It's hard to believe it has been 10 years since Wisconsin Badgers legend Frank Kaminsky helped power the program to back-to-back Final Four appearances and a trip to the National Championship Game. Kaminsky will never have to pay for a beer in Madison for the rest of his life.
On Friday night, Kaminsky was on hand with his former teammates and Bo Ryan to watch the Badgers pull off a huge upset, taking down No. 9 Arizona. It was a magical night and it sure reminded plenty of people of when Kaminsky and Co. took down the then No. 1 Wildcats in '14 to reach the Final Four.
After the final whistle, Kaminsky was probably breathing a sigh of relief, as John Tonje fell just short of breaking his record for most points in a single game - Tonje posted 41, two short of Kaminsky's 43. At the same time, he was also hyped up to see his alma mater take down the Wildcats. His social media post was awesome:
Frank Kaminsky couldn't have been happier after the Wisconsin win over Arizona
"Our teams captured something magical that few people ever get to experience," Kaminsky wrote on Twitter. "Even after 10 years people are still telling stories about their experience and how much our run meant to them. The Badger Family is something special and I’m extremely grateful that we were able to celebrate what we accomplished with all the fans last night. Also before I forget…. beating Arizona is still fun. #OnWisconsin."
Yup, beating Arizona FOR SURE is still fun. The Kohl Center was electric on Friday night, with people loving every minute of the action. After things went final, the students stormed the court in epic fashion too, which was great all around.
Whenever Wisconsin and Arizona face off, there's always plenty of intrigue there. Thankfully, head coach Greg Gard and his players were able to play brilliantly to stun Tommy Lloyd's side. It's a victory people are going to enjoy for quite some time. The same can be said for Kaminsky.
