The Field of 68 has recently been going through teams to give them offseason grades. Teams are being graded on additions, subtractions, and how the roster is being built. The Field of 68 decided the Badgers had a B+ offseason. Whether fair or not, Frank Kaminsky couldn't believe it. He responded on social media with, "B+?? That's it? What would an A look like?"
We love Big Frank for always holding it down for the Badgers, both on social media and in person. He is perplexed by the grade because, despite the losses of important seniors like Steven Crowl, John Tonje, Kamari McGee, Carter Gilmore, and Max Klesmit, the additions may have realistically improved the team. Sprinkle in a little Greg Gard magic, and it could be a fun ride this season.

Greg Gard rebuilt the roster to arguably and even better one than last season
The retention of star players like John Blackwell and Nolan Winter marked the first significant step for Greg Gard in rebuilding this team. He then added one of the top point guards in the country, Nick Boyd. Followed up with the additions of Austin Rapp and Andrew Rohde. Not only that, but it appears that the recruiting class for this season's Wisconsin Badgers is even better than advertised. That there could be some that even grab minutes in their true freshman season.
To be fair to the Field of 68 guys, in a recent podcast, they discussed the B+ grade and said, "I've seen Greg Gard turn these B+ offseasons into A's over the years." In other words, they don't think they added the star power that other teams did, but that this is a Gard-built team and he did it his way, which has a tendency to work without adding all the recruiting stars and the transfer wows.
