Wisconsin's Andrew Rohde did not play in the win over Ohio State. He didn't even suit up but was seen on the bench with his hand in a brace. Ahead of the game, Rohde was listed as questionable, but ultimately, he chose not to play due to a sore wrist. The wording in the previous sentence is important.

Rohde actually kept himself out, according to head coach Greg Gard. He said the medical staff cleared him to play, but Rohde felt like he really needed to rest his sore wrist, and his ability wouldn't be at 100% with the soreness he was feeling. That's huge.

Andrew Rohde is going to be good to go against Indiana and could have played against Ohio State

Gard said, "Everything checked out fine from a medical standpoint, and he got here today and felt it was just sore and too sore for him to be able to function properly as he wanted to." This injury update is the best-case scenario.

There's another piece of good news in all this, and that's Wisconsin now has a week off before their next game against Indiana on Saturday, February 7th. That's even more time for Rohde to get his wrist where it needs to be and get ready to play in an important quad-1 game.

The other player that may need the extra time to rest and get right is Aleksas Bieliauskas who left the Minnesota game after only playing five minutes with a busted ankle. While he was able to get back in and play against Ohio State yesterday, he may still enjoy a bit of rest.

Other than those two players, Wisconsin has stayed remarkably healthy during this stretch before their break. They aren't dealing with any other injuries and should head into the brutal February games (featuring six quad-1 games) where they will need every healthy body possible.
