Greg Gard may still be thinking about not being able to keep Kon Knueppel at home a couple of seasons ago. Instead, the phenom went to Duke and ended up jumping after one season into the NBA. Now, his younger brother, Kager, has been a high target for Greg Gard, and he's trying not to miss another Knueppel. The bad news, Duke is lurking again and just gave Kager the coveted offer.
Kager is already 6'10, and he's headed in a similar direction to his brother in terms of a highly desired recruit out of the state of Wisconsin. Gard has to be lamenting the fact that Duke keeps coming and taking Knueppel's out from under him.
Congratulations to ‘27 6’10” Kager Knueppel for adding an offer from @DukeMBB 🤩

Duke is now the new favorite for the services of Kager Knueppel

Kager has been a bit more under the radar to his brother Kon, but that's been changing fast. He was considered a 3-star by 24/7 and a 4-star composite. However, more and more high-majors are taking notice of Kager. In the last few months, he's picked up offers from Wisconsin, Purdue, and now Duke.
Kager is 6'10 now, and he's up three inches from his sophomore year and continues to show a scoring touch for being long and lean. Duke's offer came for Kager after an impressive EYBL showcase against elite competition.
Kager had 17 points, five rebounds, and three blocks, and was a big reason his team won over Hiller and the PSA Cardinals. Duke has had their eye on Kager even without this event, the Kon connection obviously, but it's no secret that Chari Knueppel (mother) is a strong fan of how Kon worked out at Duke and how much she appreciates the Blue Devils.
Kager and Kon aren't the only Knueppel brothers; Kinston, Kash, and Kidman are all coming behind their two older brothers. It's a very heavy basketball family, and yet Gard is hoping to not strike out even on the second Knueppel, but it will be tough to fight off Duke.
