The NFL Combine in Indianapolis kicks off on Thursday, February 27th. Three former Badgers have received invites, and will showcase their skills and athleticism in hopes of hearing their names called during the draft in April. Here's everything you need to know in order to catch the future pros in action.
How to watch safety Hunter Wohler at the NFL Combine
The defensive backs and tight ends will hit field on Friday, the 28th at 1:00PM central. The coverage will air on NFL Network. Former Badger safety Hunter Wohler will be in this group, and is ready to prove he belongs in the NFL.
“Every time you get a chance to step on the field, whether it’s just to run a 40, to do some drills or to play, you’re always trying to prove yourself and make a statement,” Wohler said during his media availability.
“So that’s what this week is about, is coming and proving yourself and showing out and also just being able to prove yourself in the interviews and being able to, you know, showcase your football knowledge and your ability to just talk to people," he added.
How to watch linemen Jack Nelson and Joe Huber at the NFL Combine
The offensive lineman will close out the festivities in Indianapolis on Sunday, March 2nd at 11:00AM central. NFL Network will have the full coverage. Former Badger linemen Jack Nelson and Joe Huber are the other two Wisconsin players at the combine.
Former Badger center Tanor Bortolini really boosted his draft stock last year at the combine with an impressive display, even breaking a long-held record by legend Jason Kelce in the 3-cone drill. Nelson and Huber, who are both currently projected as late-round picks, could do the same with solid performance.
This year's NFL Draft will be held in Green Bay in late April, which makes things even more interesting for these Badgers. Hopefully they'll impress this week and improve their draft stock come April.
