The No. 3 Wisconsin Badgers have advanced to the round of 16 and will be taking on the No. 2 Stanford Cardinal. The Badgers, while being the lower seed, might be the favorite over the Cardinal, considering the play of both in the first round. The Cardinal struggled through their first two rounds but was able to pull off the wins in the end. The Badgers, on the other hand, steamrolled both Eastern Illinois and North Carolina.
In fact, they've impressed so much that Michella Chester of NCAA.com has reranked them as the 6th best team left in the field behind the four No. 1 seeds: Nebraska, Kentucky, Texas, Pitt. And one No. 2 seed in SMU.
She said, "I think the Badgers are the hottest team in the country right now and look so dangerous with the return of Charlie Fuerbringer."
But how do you watch this round of 16?
How do I watch Wisconsin vs. Stanford?
Who: No. 2 Stanford Cardinal
When: 1:30 pm CT (approximate) on Friday, December 12, 2025
Where: Gregory Gym, Austin, Texas
TV: ESPN
Streaming: fubo TV or ESPN+
The good news is that this will be aired on the main channel, ESPN. It's not just limited to ESPN+ like the first two rounds. However, you can stream it on ESPN+ if that's the option you like, but it will be aired on ESPN.
There are only two matches in this round that will be on ESPN, this one and Indiana vs. Texas (the game before Wisconsin's). The rest will be on ESPN2 or ESPN+. As things go deeper, ESPN will cover more and more of the games.
This is good news for Wisconsin, and they need to capitalize on the opportunity to be the featured game. If they win, they will advance to the round of eight and play against the winner of Texas and Indiana. If they get to see the Longhorns, it'll be a rematch of an early-season loss for Wisconsin.
