Greg Gard and the Wisconsin Badgers were in the final mix for Bosnian star Harun Zrno. He ultimately picked Mike Woodson and the Indiana Hoosiers over Wisconsin. However, since that commitment, Woodson is no longer the coach, and Indiana has hired Darian DeVries from West Virginia to be the head coach. Today, On3.com has reported that Harun Zrno has decommitted from the Hoosiers. The question is, is Wisconsin back in the mix?

The final choices for Harun Zrno came down to Indiana, Wisconsin, Virginia, and Creighton

When Zrno reduced his list, he only had four schools to pick from: Indiana, Wisconsin, Virginia, and Creighton. However, it doesn't appear that he is going to limit his choices to just those for now. Ohio State, Miami, and Maryland have also contacted him since he opened his recruitment.

There were rumors floating around that the original race was between Indiana and Wisconsin, and ultimately, the Hoosiers came through with a higher NIL. However, so far, there has been nothing to reconnect Zrno with Wisconsin. They may have moved on to other options and ideas. Since Wisconsin was in the mix the first go around, it'll still be interesting to see if Gard jumps back in the mix.

Zrno visited Wisconsin early in January and told reporters that he felt the offensive style fit him well and that he loved the program. Part of what he loved about the offensive style was that he said Gard gave him a clear understanding of what his role would be if he were to choose the Badgers.

In an interview with 24/7 Sports, he listed why he originally chose Indiana and it will clarify why he's decided to open back up his recruitment.

"Coach Woodson is a really experienced coach. He has experience in the NBA as a player and as a coach. With Indiana, he has a lot of experience with his players, loves his job, and I think he can help me a lot with my career."

It's not for certain what will happen with Zrno but now that his recruitment is back open, he will be a recruit to watch for Wisconsin.
