Three recent Wisconsin graduates will be reunited in Utah after all of them made the Salt Lake City Stars training camp roster. In a bit of a surprise for at least one of the players, if not two. John Tonje, who has a two-way contract with the Jazz, Steven Crowl, and Max Klesmit will all start camp as members of the Stars.

Tonje was the only Wisconsin player drafted, and ended up with the Jazz at pick No. 53 after one of the most memorable seasons for a Badger ever. The All-American's spot with the team is already secured, and he may even get some time up in the NBA at some point this year. Crowl and Klesmit on the other hand, will have their work cut out for them, and there's no guarantee they'll make the final squad.

After going undrafted, Crowl spent time on the Jazz summer league roster while this is Klesmit's first opportunity in an NBA organization. Like Tonje, both players are already on the older side, with Crowl at 24 and Klesmit at age 23.

Seeing three Badger starters from last season's team end up on the same team again is quite remarkable, and there's no doubt their chemistry will be a huge advantage on the court. Other notable Badgers currently in the G-League are Johnny Davis and Micah Potter. The only Badger player currently on a NBA roster is Nigel Hayes-Davis, who joined the Phoenix Suns this season after spending years playing oversees.

The G-League season opens on November 7th.
