UPDATE: Jake Renfro returned at the end of the first half. He still may not be 100% but he's playing.
Wisconsin center Jake Renfro came into the game as a game-time decision. He wasn't 100% but decided to gut it out and fight through it for the Alabama game. He got rolled up on after a big sack on Danny O'Neil, and he walked off under his own power, but left the game and has yet to return.
The game was already starting to feel like a huge mountain and uphill battle, losing Jake Renfro is a big loss for an offensive unit that is already working with their backup quarterback.

After the Renfro injury, the next play, backup Kerry Kodanko came in to play center. He was immediately blown up, and Danny O'Neil was sacked for a nine-yard loss. Wisconsin was eventually forced to punt, and that led to another scoring drive for the Crimson Tide.
Kodanko struggled last week against Middle Tennessee and was the lowest graded offensive lineman by PFF. He doesn't have a lot of hope this week against Alabama, which has a vastly better defensive line. It also hurts the guards around him. Colin Cubberly is the left guard and a redshirt freshman.
Luke Fickell didn't last long with Kodanko and decided to bring in redshirt freshman Ryan Cory. It seemed like Fickell wanted Kodanko for his veteran presence, but Cory has more talent at the position, but he's young and inexperienced.
The Wisconsin vs. Alabama game quickly went from feeling like a battle to a blowout, and now, without Renfro, it will be tough for the offense to get going. The team was already struggling to run the football; it gets worse without their starting center, who holds it all together.
