Wisconsin could be without one of their best players on Saturday against USC. Javan Robinson popped up on the injury report this week out of nowhere and is now listed as questionable. The Big Ten availability reports will have a couple more releases before the game on Saturday, making his status something to really keep an eye on.
There's no record of what he's dealing with or what injury he could be having. It could be as simple as sickness or something more serious, like a sprained ankle. There's no use speculating because we simply have no information besides that he's "questionable" for this week against USC.
He's a very important piece of what Wisconsin has done on defense, and he is a necessary piece to stopping the high-flying offense of the USC Trojans.
Austin Kawecki upgraded to probable.

Javan Robinson has been one of the best players for Wisconsin and in the Big Ten this season
Robinson continues to prove that he was one of the best portal pickups in the offseason. As a redshirt junior last season for the Arizona State Sun Devils, he was impressive. He only missed two tackles all season, logging 34 tackles total for the year and eight pass breakups. His ability to help both in coverage and coming downhill in the run game would be severely missed.
Robinson has been popping up all season on PFF's weekly top performers lists. So, he would be missed in any game for Wisconsin, but this one against USC would be a big problem if Robinson can't go.
Every week, and Javan Robinson is among the highest graded DB’s. He and Bryce West (who is so impressive in the run game), have been excellent for the Badgers. https://t.co/NRa5UBMum9

USC is the second-best offense in the Big Ten this year in yards per game at 462.4. They are also second in passing yards per game at 310.1 (behind Ohio State in both categories). They just threw for 301 yards against the Penn State Nittany Lions two weeks ago. The Trojans are a significant offense; while their defense is less impressive, their offense can carve up opponents' defenses.
Big Ten pundits will be quick to say that they haven't really seen a defense as good as Wisconsin's all season. Oregon was their biggest threat (and they lost to the Ducks) in that department, but even Oregon hasn't been that impressive on defense so far this season.
The Badgers have been off to a stellar start, and while the UCLA game got away from them in terms of third-down conversions and keeping drives alive for the Bruins, Wisconsin, for the most part this season, has done an excellent job of keeping points off the board. A big part of that is the play of Javan Robinson, locking down receivers.
USC has a couple of good receivers, with their top playmaker being Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, who already has over 400 yards this season. He's someone that Robinson would spend some extra time watching. Yet, if he can't go, a small (in numbers) defensive back room would have to look a little deeper on the bench.
Keep an eye on those availability reports the rest of the week.
