As Jim Leonhard is assembling his defensive staff for the Buffalo Bills, he continues to mine the depths of former Badgers in the coaching ranks. He's now hiring his third former Badger, this time it's Illinois co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach Terrance Jamison. Who similar to Leonhard not only played at Wisconsin but also was a Badger coach at one point.

Adam Schefter reported the news early this morning and now Leonhard has a defensive line coach that worked with JJ Watt at Wisconsin.

Jamison played at Wisconsin from 2005 to 2007 and came back as a student assistant from 2008 to 2009, a defensive quality control coach in 2011, and a graduate assistant in 2012. Those first years as a student assistant are the years he was able to be part of the JJ Watt rise at Wisconsin.

His path took him to California, Florida Atlantic, Texas Tech, Air Force, Purdue, and Illinois. At almost every stop, he was a defensive line coach; however, recently, he was promoted to co-defensive coordinator at Illinois and helped DT Jer'Zhan Newton win back-to-back All-American awards and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.

This is now the third coach Leonhard has hired who was once either a player or a coach at Wisconsin. The first was Bobby April III to be the Bills' OLBs coach. He then grabbed former Wisconsin player Jay Valai as the defensive backs coach.

Both he was able to rip away from pretty sweet positions. April was set to be the defensive line coach for the Minnesota Golden Gophers after being the defensive coordinator at Stanford. He never even coached a down before going to Buffalo. Valai was the assistant head coach and co-defensive coordinator at Oklahoma.

Add Jamison to the former Badger coaching staff. No matter how long it's been, Leonhard is pulling from his Wisconsin roots.
