John Tonje came into the UCLA game with a fire in his gut and a shot that couldn't miss. It literally could not miss for the majority of the game. As the game stretched into the final minutes, he still had not missed. He was 9/9 from the field, 3/3 from three-point range, and 1/1 from the free-throw line. At this point, one former Badger was telling Greg Gard through the TV to "take him out!"

John Tonje had one of the most insane shooting days against UCLA
He finished the game going 9-10 from the field, 6-6 from three, and 2-3 from the free throw line. That's incredibly insane to think about. He literally couldn't miss and the two shoots he did miss were both relatively easy shots for him. He was perfect in the hardest category: three-point attempts.
It was an important day for Tonje to show up and become the player of the year candidate he was in February as the Badgers were able to stroll through the third round of the Big Ten Tournament. The Badgers beat the Bruins 86-70 as the final score.
Tonje finished the game with 26 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and one steal. This game came on the heels of the second-round game against Northwestern, when he scored 18 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and two steals. This means he's scored 44 points in the Big Ten Tournament and is averaging 22 points a game.
The fun doesn't stop for Wisconsin yet, as they take on the Michigan State Spartans in the group of four for a chance to head to the Big Ten Tournament championship. That game is at noon CT on Saturday and will air on CBS. It's a game you won't want to miss, as the Badgers seem to be catching fire at the right time.
