Every year, it seems as if one player is significantly shorter than what their college had been presenting them as. This year, it was Rutgers and Ace Bailey. The Scarlet Knights have been marching Bailey around the country, declaring that he is 6'10", but they measured him at the NBA Draft Combine, and he came in just over 6'7". That's a three-inch difference. Even if you measured him with shoes on, that's not three inches. Maybe they measured him in ice skates like they do in hockey.
John Tonje, on the other hand, was measured at the NBA Combine exactly as Wisconsin listed him as, and to cap it off, his other measurements were impressive.

Ace Bailey is nearly three inches shorter than th 6'10" that his listing by Rutgers
Ace Bailey will still be a first-round pick and probably even a top-10 pick, though his height may have some teams moving him down a little. 6'10" is a nice forward size in the NBA, but 6'7" is the height of the longer guards and small forwards. That is probably where he was going to play anyway, but he's smaller than billed by Rutgers.
John Tonje is almost exactly on the 6'5" measurement Wisconsin had him listed at. His other measurements were also pretty intriguing and could have NBA Scouts paying close attention to how he performs in drills and 5-on-5 scrimmages.

John Tonje measured at 6'4 3/4" in height and 211.8 lbs in weight, which is not surprising. However, the 6'9" wingspan and 8'7" standing reach are impressive. As a similar example, Marquette's Kam Jones came in at 6'3 1/4", 202 lbs, 6'6" wingspan, and 8' 4 1/2" standing reach. The length of Tonje won't have any scouts or teams turning away.
The skills and scrimmage parts of the NBA Draft Combine will be watchable on ESPN2 and ESPN+ starting Wednesday. John Tonje is participating in the 5-on-5 scrimmages and all the drills, so his draft stock should continue to go up.
