The Alabama Crimson Tide lost a frustrating game against Florida State and then bounced back with an absolute clobbering of UL Monroe. They now get to host the Wisconsin Badgers. Even with the huge win last week, Alabama's head coach, Kalen Deboer, is still not pleased with where the Crimson Tide are as a team.
In a weekly radio show, he said something that Wisconsin fans will love and give a small bit of hope: "We got to keep making those steps. We’re far from where we need to be. We know that, and there’s going to be a big test here this weekend.”

Wisconsin vs. Alabama is going to be a big test for both teams. Wisconsin is truly trying to figure out if they are a better team this year or not, and Alabama needs literally every win now that they've started the season 1-1.
Alabama's goals are the moon, and Wisconsin is their final game before they begin their tough SEC schedule. They know they need to show they are the team that played ULM and not the team that played Florida State.
The quote that really grabs the attention of Badger Nation is, "We're far from where we need to be." How far DeBoer? Is it a loss to Wisconsin far away? Because that would be huge. Is it far away from the goals they have for the season? If so, that team could still be the 21.5 favorites that Vegas thinks they are.
There are certainly reasons that Wisconsin believes they can do what Florida State did to Alabama, but it's going to take a lot. The Badgers are still not at the talent level of Alabama, but the Seminoles showed that if you just outwork, out-physical, and out-hustle the Tide, you can win.
