The Badgers continue to see their former players sign contracts. The list is growing as now Kamari McGee has signed a pro deal to play for KK Johorina out of Bosnia next year. He is now part of a group of five players who graduated from Wisconsin last season and have secured contracts at the professional level. John Tonje and Steven Crowl with NBA contracts or draft picks, Carter Gilmore, Markus Ilver, and now Kamari McGee with international contracts.

Kamari McGee signs a professional contract to play internationally for KK Jahorina

KK Jahorina is a Bosnian basketball team that plays in the city of Pale. It's an interesting team for McGee because before last season, the team won the 2023–24 Republika Srpska championship, which bumped them up to the top division and on a trajectory of success.

Now the owners are putting more resources and capital into the program. They haven't been known for signing players from the United States. In fact, their entire roster last season consisted of international players, most of whom were from Bosnia. McGee will be a splash signing and a sign of a bigger investment into continuing that trajectory of winning.

It's not known whether McGee had other offers to play overseas, but it's an exciting spot for him to land in his first professional contract. He has a chance to help a club that's already on the rise to continue to assert its dominance in now the top division of the Bosnian professional league.

He isn't the first American that KK Jahorina has signed; the last appears to be Javion May out of Sam Houston State. However, they aren't commonly picking up talent from the United States, which makes it exciting for McGee.

McGee was a beloved player for the Badgers, and Wisconsin fans will be checking in to see how he plays overseas.
