One of the top offensive line recruits in the country and in the 2027 class is Cameron Wagner. He's a 4-star recruit out of Illinois and has 20+ offers from all over the country. He's 6'6 and already over 300 pounds. He's big, strong, athletic, and has the tools to really be a premier lineman at the next level. He looks like a Badger lineman, and Eric Mateos could do wonders with him.

The great news is that while every school and its brother is chasing down Wagner, there's only one program that currently has him on campus. Wisconsin is hosting him today for spring practices. He's a high-priority target for Mateos and head coach Luke Fickell.

As mentioned, Wagner has over 20 offers, and most of them are from the top programs in the country. He's got offers from Auburn, Florida, Notre Dame, Oregon, Indiana, North Carolina, Illinois, and many more. Though it seems as if the teams making the strongest push are Oregon, Illinois, and now Wisconsin.

Wagner hasn't narrowed his list yet, but it seems as if his spring visits are setting him up for that. He's been on the Oregon and Illinois campuses recently. Fickell is hoping to get him to leave the state and come to Madison. The Badgers have yet to bring in a recruit who doesn't play high school football in the state of Wisconsin.

Even with that, the Badgers are a top-10 recruiting class as they've landed all the top players in the state. Wagner would be a huge out-of-state addition.

Mateos is on a tear in recruiting so far in this class. He's landed four other offensive linemen, and all of them have huge potential to be another featured player for OL-U.
