The Wisconsin Badgers have entered the race for a highly coveted four-star quarterback out of California in the 2027 class. Caden Jones is one of the fastest-rising quarterbacks on the West Coast. In just the last couple of months, he's picked up a handful of offers to go along with the 37 he's already accumulated. Luke Fickell was the latest head coach to extend an offer to Jones.

4-star California QB Caden Jones has picked up an offer from Wisconsin
According to 24/7 Sports, Caden Jones is listed as the 23rd-best quarterback in the 2027 class, though he's sure to rise up those rankings with all the latest interest. They also haven't updated their 2027 rankings recently, as these players are headed into their junior season of high school.
Jones is listed as a 6'3", 185 lb quarterback who plays for Crean Lutheran in Santa Margarita, California. On3.com and 24/7 Sports rate him a 4-star quarterback.
Much of Jones's recent attention is from the latest camps he has participated in, where college coaches can check out players on the rise. Jones competed at the Elite 11 camp and the Under Armor camp in Utah. In both of those camps, he was able to show off his strong athleticism and strong arm.
While football is his main sport and the one he's getting the most interest in, he's also a star basketball player, playing the guard position for his high school. It will be interesting to see how he continues to develop in the next two seasons of his high school career and also how interested he becomes in being a Badger.
