The Wisconsin Badgers were not a good team in 2025, and that's just a fact. Winning four games in a season will have you flying low. Whether you want to call it under the radar or just barely off the ground is up to you. But On3.com has released their top-100 players in college football, and there's not a single Badger on the list.
While it feels like a snub, it's understandable considering. Yet, the reality is, it's Luke Fickell that deserves the disrespect until the program turns around, not the players. The Badgers have at least a few players who deserve to be on this list, yet they aren't included, and it feels wrong.

Which Wisconsin Badgers should be on a top-100 players list?

Let's be clear, there are no real snubs, as every argument that can be made is on the bottom end of this list (for now). Yet, there is a real debate to be had about a few of Wisconsin's best players. Let's start there. Who is Wisconsin's best player?
If you asked the general fan, they'd argue it's Mason Posa. He became a fan-favorite down the stretch as a true freshman, wreaking havoc. However, he really only had a good half-season. Sure, he's going to put up a big season coming up in 2026, but it's easy to see why he may not be on this list. The same argument could be made for Cooper Catalano. Just didn't get a full season of work as a true freshman.
There's an argument to be had for Colton Joseph, but he's a transfer into the program from a non-Power 4 program. Yet, that doesn't fully stop On3 from having others like him in the list. So, sure. We can talk this one up and argue for Joseph.
You can make a case for Kevin Heywood, but he didn't have a spectacular season last year either. So, there's a need to "wait and see". The best argument for the Badgers to have a player on this list is actually Abu Sama III. As he is primed to break out with Wisconsin. At Iowa State, he averaged over 5.2 yards per carry and had over 700 yards.
He may not be on the list, but he could be, and there are others you could argue. Yet, it won't matter if Wisconsin can't win. The list is chock-full of players from winning programs. Give Luke Fickell the blame there; Wisconsin has a few top-100 players, and this 2026 season will prove it.
