Luke Fickell mentioned that the class may not be fully complete and that Wisconsin was working on a couple of other players to add. Yet, all indications were that it was done, and fans began to turn their attention to the upcoming transfer portal, and then Fickell did it, flipped 3-star safety Kah'ni Watts from Houston to the Badgers.

Wisconsin lands another commitment from 3-star safety Kah'ni Watts

The day after Early Signing Day, Kah'ni Watts was one of the players Houston was expecting, but his LOI never showed up. Instead, behind the scenes, he was thinking about changing his future school to Wisconsin. This morning, he sent in his paperwork to play for the Badgers next season.
Watts played both receiver and safety in high school and was a fairly accomplished receiver for Iowa Colony High School. Yet it was his defensive ability that drew schools to him. He also received offers from New Mexico, Utah, and Louisville, among others.
For Fickell, it's an important flip for the future of the defense at Wisconsin. The sparse recruiting class this season offered no safeties and only two cornerbacks (Carsen Eloms and Donovan Dunmore). The Badgers really needed to add depth, especially developmental depth, in this class.
While Fickell and the Badgers are mostly reloading this year using the transfer portal to reload this offseason, they can't completely abandon the incoming classes. Not only because that's the future and the developmental piece that Fickell needs to prove, but also because the Badgers have found some diamonds in the rough in the last couple of recruiting classes that have already turned into stars, i.e., Mason Posa.
Will there be any more surprise last-minute flips? Maybe Fickell did say that it could go into tomorrow, but if there are, it will only be one at the most.
