Mason Reiger is getting a lot of attention in the UDFA world and rightly so. He's one of only a few players who went undrafted who had quality draftable grades. Reiger was Wisconsin's best shot of having a player drafted in the 2026 NFL Draft, and when he went without being picked, it was deflating for Badger Nation. However, since then, he's been getting lots of love, and Bleacher Report just named him the most exciting UDFA for the Miami Dolphins.

However, 11 Wisconsin players were signed to UDFA contracts, and Reiger was in high demand. He ended up signing with the Miami Dolphins for two major reasons. First, there is an immediate opportunity to be an edge rusher on the Week 1 roster with the way the current depth chart looks. Second, because the Dolphins gave him a good guaranteed amount of money to sign with them.

He was the second-highest guaranteed among the Dolphins' signings with $175,000 guaranteed money. Reiger is only behind Rene Konga, who received a $277,500 in guaranteed money.

Reiger is the media darling among the UDFA class as he's highly motivated, full of skill, and runs with a high motor. His medicals may be the sole reason he went undrafted, and yet, he's proven that shouldn't be a problem. Bleacher Report says he's the most exciting undrafted player for the Dolphins, but gives a prognosis of what he can do to help himself: "Reiger needs to refine his technique and add some weight, but he's a high-motor, physical talent."

Reiger has said at the Miami Rookie Mini Camp that he wants to prove the NFL wrong, especially the other 31 teams that passed on him. He's got a nice chip on his shoulder now to outwork everyone. But he also has a bit of humility with it all as he said, there was clearly more he needed to do to prove he was worthy to be drafted. Reiger is going to do that now for the Dolphins.

Look for Reiger to not only make the Dolphins roster but also find himself as a key part of the edge rushing solution for the Dolphins defense.
