The Minnesota Golden Gophers have a brand new head coach, Niko Medved, but have had very similar results so far. Sure, Minnesota fans are seeing improvement and excitement about the future, but Wisconsin has now beaten the Golden Gophers 11 straight times. The most recent two came on his watch. After the game, he came across as whiny and sour. Sour loser mentality.
He started the press conference with a weird exchange about his nameplate on the press stand being misspelled. It may have been meant to be humorous, but he did it in a way that seemed sour. Then, later, he launched into a complaint about former Golden Gopher Braeden Carrington and how he shoots, and that came off even worse.
"You know, Carrington really kicks out his legs. You know, every time he shoots it. I don't like that, I think that's dangerous play. It's kind of what he does. I don't know, I got to go watch the thing myself, but obviously that was an unfortunate play."Niko Medved

Medved was complaining about an and-1 that Carrington had late in the game that caused a 4-point swing. Carrington made the three-point shot and the free throw. After that swing, the Badgers were only down one point with the score 50-49.
It was one of the many momentum-swinging plays by the Badgers in the second half to help complete the insane comeback by Wisconsin. The Badgers were down 20 at one point and rallied all the way back to get the win and go 2-0 over the Minnesota Golden Gophers on the season.
As for Medved, his tone and approach now has this frustrated, almost whiny way about it. That's new to Medved since coming to Minnesota, because at Colorado State, he seemed more measured and controlled. Between the nameplate that he called a "lack of respect" and the Carrington complaint, he came across as an absolute sour grape.
