While the 2025 season is just about to get underway, recruiting for future seasons is also heating up. Based on new crystal ball predictions from 247Sports, it looks like the Badgers could be in line for some good news regarding the second-highest rated player in the state of Wisconsin.

Both Nick Osen and Jon McNamara have logged predictions for the Badgers to land four-star tackle Cole Reiter out of Germantown for the 2027 class. Reiter is the top tackle in the state and the 20th ranked in the entire country. The 6-foot-7, 300 pound recruit would undoubtedly be a massive addition to the 2027 class after many visits to Madison over the past year.

Wisconsin hoping to secure four-star commitment for an epic start to 2027

While Luke Fickell and Wisconsin have largely struck out when it comes to top-end in-state talent, it seems like the tide could be turning. Reiter, who also holds offers from Ohio State, Minnesota and many more, could start off the 2027 class with a bang. A varsity basketball player too, Reiter would bring ideal size and athleticism to a program with a storied offensive line history.

Wisconsin's 2026 class currently ranks 60th in the country, and only boasts one true four-star recruit based on 247's rankings. It's been a stray from the norm for Fickell, who has consistently earned top-30 classes since coming to Wisconsin. A commit from Reiter for 2027 would be some welcome news to not only the coaches, but the fans as well.
