Now this is an upset not many people outside of Madison thought was coming. Leading up to tip-off on Saturday, No. 15 Purdue was expected to have no issues taking down Wisconsin. Well, John Blackwell, Nick Boyd, Greg Gard and others weren't going to let that happen.

Yup, Wisconsin was able to pull off a stunning upset, taking down the Boilermakes 97-93 in this one. This was easily one of the best road wins of the season for the Badgers. Blackwell led the way with his 25 points and he's getting showered with love.
The same can be said for Boyd, who was downright brilliant in the win for Wisconsin. He finished with 23 points and he was fired up after the final whistle. He went ahead and made the win even better with this postgame comments too:
"It's my last go-round in March so I'm trying to make it special." - Nick Boyd

We've also got to give Austin Rapp and Aleksas Bieliauskas, who finished the win with 17 points and 16 points, respectively. They helped out in a big way, but it indeed was Blackwell and Boyd who put on the show for the Badgers in this one, with the latter catching fire in the second half.
With Boyd, he had even more people talking, as he caught fire and he knocked down some HUGE shots for the Badgers. Boyd is widely considered among the Wisconsin fanbase as someone who is totally underrated and deserves more national respect.
Hey, we're not going to argue with that, as Boyd showcased against the Boilermakers just how valuable of a playmaker he is for Gard and this team. With the Big Ten Tournament right around the corner too, Boyd is going to be ready to keep performing at a high level.
Then, the NCAA Tournament will get here too and even more eyes are going to be on him, Blackwell and the rest of the Wisconsin players. With the victory, Wisconsin is 22-9 on the season and it has once again reminded people that this group can hang with anyone. What a victory for the Badgers.
