The Wisconsin Badgers are just days away from a big regional set of softball games as they seek to advance in the NCAA Tournament. They are dark horses in the tournament, especially in a regional with the Texas Longhorns in it. The Baylor Bears aren't a team to overlook either.
Big Ten analyst Sydney Supple has a lot of excitement and energy behind the Badgers. She loves that Wisconsin is bringing in a ton of momentum and the belief that they can beat anyone. There's a strong belief in each other, and no opponent seems too big for the Badgers. That was evident when Wisconsin toppled the No. 2 Oregon Ducks in the Big Ten Tournament.
While the Badgers would ultimately lose in the semi-finals to the UCLA Bruins, the two Big Ten Tournament wins cemented their case for the NCAA Tournament. Watch what Supple has to say about the Badgers:

The key to the postseason is getting hot at the right time. The beginning of the season matters for your overall record, but how you finish a season is what propels you through the NCAA Tournament. The Badgers are one of the hottest teams in the country in their last few weeks. Supple gives her flowers to two specific players: Jaclyn Showalter and Hilary Blomberg.
Both Showalter and Blomberg are on their own hot streaks to end the season and could help Wisconsin blast past any opponent. These two are bringing hot bats and high energy to a team that's looking to make a deep postseason run.
The first game for the Badgers is on Friday, May 15, at 12:30 pm against the Baylor Bears. It will be airing on ESPN+. As it's a double-elimination tournament, the Badgers are assured of at least one more game after the Bears, but win twice and move on.
