The Shrine Bowl is tomorrow, where college football players take on each other in an effort to boost their draft stocks. The practices and drills have been happening for over a week, and the media and scouts have had extra access to watch the players perform. One name keeps popping up day after day as a "stand out performer," and that's Wisconsin's Mason Reiger.
There are countless social media posts like the one below about Reiger and how he's been really putting on a clinic in the pass rush.
Mason Reiger not only showing off the pass rush, but great pursuit on play. Have really enjoyed the overall scope of his game this week. pic.twitter.com/Ms7Vg3nCM3

Reiger is currently projected as a day three pick, meaning many experts and pundits think he will be a fourth-round pick. However, he's turning heads and may be able to slide up the draft boards. Matt Mitchell, the Wisconsin OLB and special teams coach, thinks exactly this: that Reiger's draft stock is on the rise.
Reiger started his career as a walk-on at Louisville and used his last season of eligibility to play for the Wisconsin Badgers. He talked in an interview about how it wasn't the year he had hoped for in terms of records and was the first losing season of his career, but that, at the end, there was more hope. He said he believes in what Luke Fickell is doing.
Reiger had a great year for the Badgers despite the overall down product. He had 32 tackles and five sacks and had a knack for pressuring the quarterback. It's no surprise at all that he's now showing the exact same tenacity in Shrine Bowl drills and practices. He's a talent that some NFL team will love to have.
He still has the game tomorrow, January 27, and the NFL Combine as more opportunities to raise his draft stock, but he continues to show that he's worth a high draft pick.
