After a wild week of top-25 upsets, the playoff bracket has been flipped on its head. Four teams ranked in the top 11 lost to unranked opponents, including number one overall Alabama. After the dust settled, two new teams found their way into our playoff predictions heading into week seven.

Dropped from rankings: Missouri, UNLV

The top four automatic bids, consistent as ever, remain unchanged for three weeks straight. The number one slot could be up for grabs next week though, as Ohio State will take on the Ducks of Oregon. The chaos begins starting at number five. Oregon shoots up to claim the spot after shocking losses by Alabama and Tennessee. Penn State joins them right after at number six, as the Big Ten starts to make its case for the best conference in college football.

Boise State and Clemson join the playoff picture after Missouri and UNLV got bounced. Missouri was absolutely rocked by Texas A&M, and UNLV lost in a close one, but they'll have work to do regain favor with the Badger of Honor committee. Boise State claims the Group Five slot as no one else really seems to want it. With their only loss being a three-point defeat to Oregon, they make the strongest case right now.

In a crazy week of upsets, seven members of our 12 team field saw movement in their seeding. The Big Ten now holds three of the top six slots and had an opportunity to seize more, although USC lost and failed to take advantage of a roughed up SEC. Notre Dame and LSU are two schools who have been on the outside looking in, but LSU has a chance to break through in a matchup against Ole Miss this week.
