8. | Oregon | At-Large | 5 |
9. | USC | At-Large | Unranked |

Dropped from rankings: (3) Florida State, (7) Oklahoma State
After a disapointing loss to unranked Georgia Tech, Florida State drops out of the rankings...for now. Miami (FL) looked dominating and a prime candidate to win the ACC. Florida State could still win at-large bid, but they have work to do to work past the Hurricanes. Oklahoma State also dropped out of the projection. They didn't play terrible, but they didn't exactly do themselves a ton of favors either while other teams like USC showed they belong more.
The top two of Georgia and Ohio State remains unchanged and likely will stay that way for the foreseeable future. Other teams that improved their standing after impressive debuts were Notre Dame, who defeated 20th ranked Texas A&M, and Ole Miss and Missouri. USC aso joined the ranks with their impressive win over LSU. Our Group Five winner UTSA remains unchanged for the time being, but Memphis and Boise State are hot on their heels.
A few 'snubs' that still need to show us more are Penn State and Kansas State. Both teams had nice wins over the weekend but the at-large bid field is just too crowded at this point to justify them over teams like Oregon or Texas.
