It has been a busy few weeks of college football, and some teams -- Florida State cough cough -- have already been completely bounced from playoff contention. In week two there were some near upsets, and some dominating wins as well, so how do we see the 12-team field playing out as of today?

Dropped from rankings: Notre Dame (7), UTSA (12)
The top four seeds remain unchanged, as Georgia, Ohio State, Miami and Utah all won handedly. Texas moved into the top at-large seed with a dominating performance over the Michigan Wolverines. Another big mover was Ole Miss, who routed Middle Tennessee and is up to number five in the AP Top-25 poll.
After brief scares, both Alabama and Oregon came away with wins, but each team showed a few weaknesses in the armor. They dropped a few spots in the seeding, but still remain in the playoff. Notre Dame, however, suffered a tough loss to Northern Illinois and drops out completely for the time being. This isn't the end for them, though, and a few nice wins will have them back in the race. Our previous Group Five team, the Roadrunners of UTSA, also lost and are now replaced by Liberty, who has looked strong through two games.
Tennessee fills the void left by Notre Dame and sees themselves in our seeding for the first time in 2024. They've looked dominating and will be a team to watch going forward. Penn State, after struggling to handle Bowling Green still finds themselves on the outside looking in.
