I struggled with the decision to put Melvin Gordon on this list because he did have a few good years with the Chargers, but it took him about two seasons to get up to speed to have those good years. Gordon then decided to hold out for a better contract, which in my opinion, threw his career off.

In his first season, Gordon only had 641 yards on 184 carries and didn't record a single touchdown. In his second season, he almost eclipsed 1,000 yards and had 12 total touchdowns. Then his third season he had the best year of his career where he had 1,105 yards and 12 total touchdowns. Then the decline started.

After the move to Denver, Gordon had back-to-back 900-yard seasons but just 10 touchdowns each season. Gordon also had a fumbling problem, especially in big moments. In his third year in Denver, Gordon had a steep drop off with only 318 yards and 2 total touchdowns.

Then in this past season with Baltimore, Gordon saw very little action with only 26 carries in four games. The Ravens released Gordon after the season, so where will he be going forward? Nobody knows.
