Wisconsin coaches. player. . . . 4. 2019-present. Nate Oats. Nate Oats. 523

Nate Oats has been successful as a head coach at both Buffalo and a bigger program in Alabama. In his time with the Crimson Tide, Oats has made the NCAA Tournament four out of his five seasons, but while he probably wouldn't have made the tournament in 2020, it was canceled anyway due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In his head coaching career, Oats has led his teams to seven NCAA Tournaments between Buffalo and Alabama. He also led Alabama to their first-ever Final Four in program history this season losing to UConn who went on to win it all.

After John Calipari left Kentucky for Arkansas, Oats was a top candidate but took himself out fo the running pledging his allegiance to Alabama. While it doesn't look like Oats is leaving the Crimson Tide anytime soon, this is a dream candidates list and Oats has shown he knows show to be successful at both small and big schools.
