Yesterday we looked at some of the possible football records that could fall in 2024. The transfer portal has been equally if not more crazy in college basketball, so we may never see another Tyler Wahl type player again for Wisconsin. So what records could be broken by this team in 2024?

Single-Season Three-Pointers Made

Current Record: Bronson Koenig - 103

The Badgers have never been a high-volume three-point shooting team, but that could change this year. With four players who shot over 38% from beyond the arc last season on the roster this year, the Badgers may look to let it fly more. John Blackwell played in a reserve role last season and just 18 minutes per game. But with the departure of AJ Storr there are certainly more minutes available, and as a 45% three-point shooter, he only needs to attempt about 6.5 threes per game to break the record.

Single Game Points Scored

Current Record: Frank Kaminsky - 43

Last year the offense flowed through AJ Storr as the primary scorer. This season the Badgers may not have someone quite as explosive, but they'll have a lot more options. Camren Hunter, Xavier Amos and John Tonje have all scored at least 25 points in a game several times throughout their careers. There could easily be a situation where any one of them gets hot and drops 45. I realize 25 or even 30 is a far cry from 45 points but Steven Crowl's career high is 36 while Storr's is 30, so anything can happen out there.

Single Game Rebounds

Current Record: Alando Tucker/Vitto Brown - 16

In 2023-24, Steven Crowl had double-digit rebounds nine times. I think he could double that number this year and certainly eclipse 16 in a single game. Ethan Happ amazingly had 15 rebounds in a game four times, but he never topped that. Crowl may not be as talented of a rebounder, but with little depth behind him and a four in Amos who likes to play outside, Crowl will have all the opportunity in the world to grab every board.
