Big Ten Media Days are set to occur July 23-25, and the Badgers announced the three players to accompany Luke Fickell to the event. Linebacker Jake Chaney, safety Hunter Wohler and offensive tackle Jack Nelson will be the player representatives.
The players selected to go each season are typically upperclassman who represent the team well. Chaney, Wohler and Nelson check those boxes, but you'd have to look back to 2021 to see the last time the Badgers didn't bring a quarterback.
Last season, Tanner Mordecai was an attendee and the year before was quarterback Graham Mertz. It's not too unusual for teams to not bring a quarterback, but hearing from high-profile transfer Tyler Van Dyke certainly would have been interesting.
Wisconsin will take the stage on July 23. I'm sure Luke Fickell will hear a lot of questions about how the offense will hopefully be improved after a lackluster 2023. We'll also get a good idea of how the national media feels about the 2024 squad. Initially it seems like most folks are down on Wisconsin this year, but the media days will give us some more insight into how the Badgers stack up.
