Luke Fickell and the Badgers landed another transfer in the portal, and this time it's Boston College wide receiver Joseph Griffen Jr.

Griffen Jr. had a visit to Wisconsin earlier in the week and will now be another key addition to the Badger receiver room. He joins a group headlined by Will Pauling and Bryson Green and will look to compete for the other spot playing on the outside. The 6'3" wideout is a big body who can work the boundaries and get up for jump balls.

Griffen Jr. had 25 receptions for 345 yards last year for the Golden Eagles and will still have two years of eligibility remaining for the Badgers. Wisconsin had been looking to add some more competition on the outside at receiver. With Pauling already locking down the slot receiver position, Griffen Jr. fits that bill.

It's a nice addition for Fickell and the offense, which at times struggled last season despite some early hype. Who Griffen Jr. will catch balls from this season still remains undecided, but regardless, having a bigger target will only help.
