Badgers Lose Cornerback to the Portal at the Eleventh Hour
Reserve cornerback Michael Mack has entered the transfer portal on the last day of the spring window.
The Air Force transfer will leave Wisconsin having never playled a snap. He joined the Badgers, sat for a year, and found himself buried on a deep cornerback depth chart. The 6'1" corner will look to find a new home where he will have a chance at more playing time.
The Badgers were fairly deep at corner, so now with the departure of Mack, Luke Fickell and staff will have some options for another scholarship player. Starting cornerback Ricardo Hallman was coming off a career season and Nyzier Fourqurean also returned. The addition of RJ Delancy solidified the position, leaving Mack as the odd man out on the boundaries.
The portal is closed as of May 1st, so no new players may enter.
